On motion of TRUSTEE____________, seconded by TRUSTEE _______, the
following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-
Hudson, New York:
WHEREAS, the Village wishes to supplement the Emergency Medical Technician
(EMT) services provided by Croton Emergency Medical Services (EMS), a group of
well–trained, highly capable, and dedicated volunteer emergency responders, and
WHEREAS, a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the services of a qualified entity for the
provision of Emergency Medical Technicians was published in the official newspaper of
the Village and mailed to numerous agency providers, and
WHEREAS, two agencies submitted proposals and one agency submitted a letter
declining to respond to the RFP, and
WHEREAS, The Mid Hudson Ambulance District submitted the lowest bid at a rate of
$17.26 per hour for regular and holiday hours and $24.75 per hour for regular overtime
and Holiday overtime, and
WHEREAS, the Village’s Director of Emergency Management, the Officers of the
Croton EMS and the Village Manager have reviewed the proposals and recommend that
the Mid Hudson Ambulance District be awarded the contract, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton
on Hudson believe it to be in the best interest of the Village to retain the services of the
Mid Hudson Ambulance District and authorizes the Village Manager to award the
contract for EMT services to the Mid Hudson Ambulance District for a period of one year
with a renewal provision of three, one year terms.
