ROBERT LUTZ Members MARK AAROS FRACES ALLE BRUCE KAUDERER STEVE KRISKY Attorney JAMES STAUDT Village Engineer DAIEL O’COOR, P.E. ROIE ROSE MEMORADUM TO: Mayor Leo Wiegman and Board of Trustees FROM: Robert Luntz, Chairman of Planning Board SUBJECT: Nextel of New York, Inc. – 1 Van Wyck Street (Sec. 78.08 Blk. 5 Lot 9) – Referral from Village Board regarding a special permit application for renewal of a Personal Wireless Services Facility located at 1 Van Wyck Street DATE: August 24, 2011 On August 23, 2011, the Planning Board reviewed the above-mentioned referral from the Village Board regarding an application for the renewal of the special permit for Nextel of New York, Inc., to continue to operate a telecommunications facility at the Municipal Building. Based on a discussion with the Village Engineer regarding Nextel’s compliance with the specified conditions imposed by the current special permit including maintainance of the painting of the antennas as necessary, a letter from the law offices of Snyder & Snyder, LLP dated August 3, 2011 confirming that there have been no changes in the technology for the provision of Personal Wireless Services Facilities, and the payment of the required renewal fee, the Planning Board recommends renewal of the special permit for another five years. Additionally, the Planning Board recommends that an inspection of the facilities at 1 Van Wyck be completed by the Village Engineer.
