To: Mayor & Board of Trustees From: Date: January 14, 2022 Re: Street Vendor License Policy I have received an email request from Toni Senecal Shea requesting that the Street Vendor License Policy be amended to allow vendors to begin sales at 10 a.m. on Sundays. Ms. Senecal Shea indicates that she would like the policy revised to allow for brunch service in the warm weather. The policy was adopted by the Board in June 2020 to permit food trucks and other vendors without permanent storefronts to sell in designated locations in the Village. At that time, it was decided to permit sales only in the afternoons to avoid traffic issues (parking and pedestrians) involving the three churches located in the Upper Village. I recommend that the Board discuss this request in greater detail at a future work session. I will have my staff gather information from area businesses and organizations to determine if such a change would be helpful or harmful to their situation.
