Dear Resident or Business Owner, The Village Board of Trustees will be reviewing the adopted Street Vendor License Policy at its work session on February 22, 2022, and is soliciting input from residents and business owners in the Upper Village. As it exists now, the Street Vendor License Policy is intended to allow vendors without brick-and- mortar storefronts the opportunity to have a presence in the Upper Village and Harmon areas, as well as the Croton-Harmon Train Station parking lot, of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson. Licenses shall be effective between the hours of 1 and 8 PM on Sundays in June, July and August, and between the hours of 1 and 6 PM on Sundays throughout the rest of the year. A maximum of three on-street vendors per day are allowed in each vending area. The proposal being reviewed by the Village Board at this time would allow vendors to begin selling at 10:30 AM (instead of 1 PM) and allow sales to continue until 8 PM (instead of 6 PM). Additionally, a maximum of six vendors would be allowed in each vending area (as opposed to three currently). Please email the Village Manager’s office at managersoffice@crotononhudson-ny.gov with your comments or questions regarding the above.
