On motion of TRUSTEE__________, seconded by TRUSTEE__________,
the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village
of Croton-on-Hudson, New York:
Resolution #24-2022
WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson was awarded $90,000
through the New York State Clean Energy Communities (CEC) Program for
the installation of solar panels atop the Washington Engine Company
firehouse on North Riverside Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the installation of the solar panels will come at no cost to the
Village; and
WHEREAS, this installation will help reduce the energy bills of the Village
for the firehouse building over time; and
WHEREAS, this award requires that a contract between the Village of
Croton-on-Hudson and the New York State Energy Research and
Development Authority (NYSERDA) be executed so that funds may be
distributed,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: the Village Board of Trustees
authorizes the Village Manager to execute the contract with the New York
State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) for a grant
in the amount of $90,000 for the installation of solar panels atop the
Washington Engine Company firehouse, subject to approval by the Village
Attorney.
