TO: Mayor Brian Pugh and the Village Board of Trustees FROM: Chairman Gallelli, Waterfront Advisory Committee RE: Referral from the Village Board for a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Consistency Review to amend Chapter 86 of the Village Code, Building Construction, to institute the NYStretch Energy Code. DATE: May 26, 2022 On May 25th, 2022, the Waterfront Advisory Committee (WAC) reviewed the above-referenced referal for consistency with the Village’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP). Based on the review of the Coastal Assessment Form (CAF) dated May 15th, 2022, and the 44 LWRP policies and made a recommendation of consistency. The vote was 3-0, all in favor. Part 1 of the Environmental Assessment Form was completed by the Village Manager. The committee reviewed the 44 LWRP policies and determined that the following policy was relevant: POLICY 1A: Existing planning and zoning documents should be reviewed and amended where necessary to ensure development within the community is consistend with adopted goals and policies. The WAC believes that the proposed amendment will not have any potentially significant adverse impacts on coastal resources and is consistent with the LWRP policy standards. Because there are no expected adverse impacts on coastal resources, there is no reason to consider alternative actions or mitigation measures. It is for the reasons contained in this memorandum that the WAC issues its recommendation of consistency.
