Dear Resident:
Recently, the Village has received complaints regarding the parking situation along your streets. These
complaints are concerning the consistency of parking restrictions in the Harmon area.
Over the years, Village has instituted various parking restrictions in the Harmon neighborhood to reduce
commuter overflow, including a Residential Parking Permit Area encompassing portions of Hastings
Avenue and Young Avenue. While these regulations have greatly reduced overcrowding, residents have
expressed a desire for more consistency in parking restrictions, which currently vary widely by street.
In response to these concerns, the Village is considering a proposal to implement a four-hour maximum
street parking rule, effective weekdays between 7 AM and 7 PM on Benedict Boulevard, Hastings Avenue,
and Young Avenue outside of the Residential Parking Permit Area. The Village would like to hear your
feedback on this issue before moving forward.
You may complete and return the enclosed survey to the Village Manager’s Office via email at
managersoffice@crotononhudson-ny.gov, via the U.S. Mail, or by using the dropbox in front of the
Municipal Building.
