On motion of TRUSTEE ---, seconded by TRUSTEE ---, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton- on- Hudson, New York with a - vote. Resolution #200-2026 WHEREAS, the Village Code requires that property owners clear their sidewalks of snow and ice within 12 hours after the end of a snow event; and WHEREAS, the Village Code also provides an exemption for certain areas where geographical limitations put an undue burden on the property owner; and WHEREAS, following the winter of 2025-2026, the Village Manager and Department of Public Works reviewed the list of existing exemptions and requests for new exemptions, and developed proposed changes; and WHEREAS, these changes were discussed at a work session held on June 24, 2026; and WHEREAS, Local Law Introductory No. 12 of 2026 has been drafted to reflect these changes, WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was opened and closed on September 2, 2026, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board of Trustees hereby adopts Local Law Introductory No. 12 of 2026 to amend Chapter 197, Streets and Sidewalks, of the Village Code to update the list of sidewalks exempt from the duty to clear or make safe, which upon adoption becomes Local Law No. 11 of 2026.
