A Work Session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, NY was held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Georgianna Grant Meeting Room of the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building. The following officials were present: Mayor Pugh Trustee Politi Trustee Simon Village Manager Bryan Healy Trustee Nicholson (arrived at 7:45 PM) Village Attorney Joshua Subin Trustee Slippen was absent. On motion of TRUSTEE SIMON , seconded by TRUSTEE POLITI , the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton- on-Hudson, New Yor k by a 3- 0 vote (Trustees Nicholson and Slippen were absent): Resolution #226-2025 WHEREAS, the Village desires to contract with OMNIA Partners, Public Sector, Inc. to participate in cooperative purchasing for various items; and WHEREAS, General Municipal Law § 103 allows for local governments to participate in such cooperative purchasing; and WHEREAS, there is no cost to the Village to enter into this agreement; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board hereby authorizes the Village Manager to execute the agreement with OMNIA Partners, Public Sector, Inc. to enter into their cooperative purchasing program. Village Manager Healy explained that the Village has contracted with other cooperative purchasing agencies in the past and that we are looking to join this agency to purchase the playground equipment for Dobbs Park through a previously negotiated bid. Village Attorney Subin explained that state law allows municipalities to join these “piggybacking” contracts as long as their letting process is as stringent as the process required under New York State law. During the work session, the Board also discussed proposed legislation to create a rental unit registry, the addition of alternate members to the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals, the resumption of a farmers market in Croton-on-Hudson and developing a handbook for volunteer boards and committees.
