Superintendent for Business Re: Recommendation for Bid Award District-Wide Capital Improvements Phase 2 Tennis Court Lighting SED Project Number: 66-02-02-03-0-003-036 KG+D Architects is in receipt of the bids for the above-referenced project and recommends the District move forward with award of Contracts 1 (single-prime). To assist the District with determination of the lowest responsible bidder, KG+D Architects has performed the following services and tasks for the apparent low bidder for this project: • Administrative review of contractor bid submissions to confirm required bid documents have been furnished and completed by the contractor. • Compared apparent low-bid amounts to the estimated contract values. • Reviewed post-bid information and contractor qualifications included in the bid submission. • Participated in ‘scope review’ meeting with the apparent low bidders to review the technical scope of work. Based on KG+D Architects’ review of the bidders as outlined above, we see no reason to deem the apparent low- bidder non-responsible. The apparent low bidder is as follows: # Contract Contractor Base Bid 1 Single Prime ER Electrical Corporation $285,777 KG+D Architects’ review of bidder qualifications and responsibility is limited to the information furnished by the bidder. Our review does not include supplemental investigation or assessment of the following: • Information regarding past and current projects not furnished by the bidder. • Financial standing and capacity of the bidder beyond acknowledgment of surety-backed bonds. • Current and future project obligations of the bidder not furnished by the bidder. • Undisclosed legal proceedings, history, claims, defaults, terminations, or the like. • Past relationships with other business entities including undisclosed ‘dba’s.’ We are pleased to report a successful bid phase and look forward to commencing construction.
