Consent Agenda Subject 5.8 Phase 2-PVC HVAC Bid Alternate #1 and #3 Award (Project # 02-032) Type Action (Consent) Recommended Action RESOLUTION AWARDING BID ALTERNATES WHEREAS, on June 11, 2026, the Board of Education of Croton-Harmon Union Free School District adopted Resolution 7.11 awarding a single prime construction contract in the amount of $584,230.00 to complete air conditioning work on the second floor of Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School to Clean Air Quality Services, Inc. based on its base bid; and WHEREAS, after receiving bids for other construction work to be completed within the District, the Assistant Superintendent for Business and the District’s Architects for the Project, KG+D Architects, recommends awarding two of the three bid alternates for the single prime construction contract for the completion of air conditioning work on the second floor of Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School, to wit: Alternate 1 for expansion of the DX coil in existing air handling unit (AHU) and Alternate 3 for fourth floor electrical upgrade; and WHEREAS, when the bid prices for Alternates 1 and 3 are added to the base bid of Clean Air Quality Services, Inc., Clean Air Quality Services, Inc. remains the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, with respect to the single prime construction contract for the completion of air conditioning work on the second floor of Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School, the Board of Education of Croton-Harmon Union Free School District hereby awards Clean Air Quality Services, Inc. bid Alternate 1 for expansion of the DX coil in existing AHU at a cost of $149,320.00 and Alternate 3 for fourth floor electrical upgrade at a cost of $72,250.00, which increases the total contract sum of the construction contract awarded to Clean Air Quality Services, Inc. to $805,800.00 (Base Bid + Alternate 1 +Alternate 3); and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the President of the Board of Education is authorized to signed construction awarded to Clean Air Quality Services, Inc. on June 11, 2026 as modified by this resolution through the award of Bid Alternates 1 and 3; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the District’s Superintendent of Schools, the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Treasurer are hereby authorized individually and severally to take all actions necessary to implement the purpose of this resolution.
