It’s your job to trim proposed projects back to make them Croton appropriate. The Planning Board and two Trustees ORIGINALLY recommended to the Village Board that the Lot A Project be REDUCED to 80 or better 60 Units to bring it into sync with the rest of the area. Stick to THAT recommendation, it was a good one. The HEIGHT of this Parking Lot A started off in July as a 50 FOOT TALL, 5 STORY proposal, and has MORPHED in a STRUCTURE 50% TALLER, now it’s a PROPOSED SEVENTY-FIVE (75) FOOT TALL Ugly Behemoth. VISUAL DRAWINGS of the HEIGHTENED Site Plans presented to the VILLAGE BOARD were NOT TO SCALE. VISUAL DRAWINGS of the HEIGHTENED Site Plans presented to the PLANNING BOARD as late as LAST WEEK were NOT TO SCALE, thereby MISLEADING the Public, the Village Board, and the Planning Board, at Public Meetings. These INTENTIONALLY MISREPRESENTED the SIZE and VISUAL IMPACT of the Larger Project on the Village. Unfortunately in your ARDOR to approve his plans for Lot A, you proponents did NOT OBJECT to these misrepresentations or call the developer out on these misrepresentations. This proposed Large Colossus has been described as a Monstrosity, Prisonlike, a Motel 6, and other uncomplimentary names. Fittingly, as IMAGINED, it faces two SIMILARLY LARGE STRIKING MONSTORS in Ossining, the Prison, and Harbor Square Waterfront Condos.
