Recommended Action
RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby approves the agreement between the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District and the County of Westchester Board of Elections as presented.
WHEREAS, Croton-Harmon Union Free School District (hereinafter, the "School District") asked the Board of Elections of Westchester County if the School District could use two (2) Electronic Voting Machines (Plan A), one (1) handicap accessible (Plan B) voting machine, and three (3) Privacy Booths for the School District's election and budget vote on May 19, 2026, and if the budget is rejected, the re-vote election to be held on June 16, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Elections of Westchester County is willing to allow the School District to use the requested voting machines and equipment subject to certain terms and conditions set forth in the Agreement between the County of Westchester and the School District; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District approve the Agreement with the County of Westchester for the use of certain voting machines and equipment and authorizes and empowers the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent for Business and/or District Clerk to execute the Agreement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District authorizes and directs its officers and employees to take all actions necessary to effect the purposes of and to cause compliance with the Agreement.
