~ SIDE LETTER OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CROTON-HARMON UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE CROTON TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District (“District”) and the Croton Teachers’ Association (“Association”) are parties to a Collective B ining Agreement (“CBA”) between them covering the term July 1, 2024 to June 30, oO WHEREAS, Cori Martineau (“Ms. Martineau”) is a teacher and member of the Association bargaining unit; and WHEREAS, Ms. Martineau has accepted an assignment to provide specialized reading services to a special education student as mandated by the student’s Individualized Education Plan (“IEP”); and ii WHEREAS, Ms. Martineau shall provide such services, which are in addition to her regular, full-time, teaching load, during her preparation period; and WHEREAS, the parties have entered into discussions regarding compensating Ms. Martineau for providing the specialized reading services as set forth above; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED, by and among the parties as follows: 1. The parties agree, that notwithstanding any language in the CBA to the contrary, as follows: a. Effective January 5, 2026, in addition to her regular, full-time, teaching load, Ms. Martineau shall provide specialized reading services to a special education student, - as mandated by the student’s IEP, until June 26, 2026; and ~| ar sx . . b. Ms. Martineau shall provide the services set forth in Paragraph 1.a. above in lieu o of her preparation period; and . c. Based upon the provision of the specialized reading services as set forth above, Ms. Martineau shall be compensated for each period of such specialized reading services that she provides in lieu of a preparation period from January 5, 2026 to June 26, 2026 pursuant to this Side Letter of Agreement, in accordance with the following formula which shall be in addition to their regular pay: annual salary divided by 187, multiplied by 0.20. 2, The parties agree that neither this Side Letter of Agreement, nor the terms and conditions set forth herein, shall constitute a precedent with respect to Ms. Martineau at any other time or for any other assignments, with respect to any other bargaining unit on members, with respect to a bargaining unit member’s entitlement to additional compensation for the provisions of specialized reading services, with respect to the calculation of a bargaining unit member's daily rate and/or for any other purposes whatsoever. The parties further agree that this Side Letter of Agreement, and the terms and conditions set forth herein, shall not be utilized, introduced, or referenced during any subsequent action, administrative proceeding, or arbitration, except to enforce the terms of this Agreement. -2- laa 3.
