Croton-Harmon Union Free School District 2026-27 Proposed Scope of Service (8.28.26) SERVICES Executive Messaging & Execution Provide comprehensive strategic communications planning, counsel and support for the school district executive leadership/governance team. Work closely with the Superintendent of Schools and district administration to develop clear, compelling messaging aligned with the district vision map, goals and priorities and facilitate effective communication to key external and internal audiences. Community Relations Work closely with Superintendent of Schools and district administrators to support, promote and participate in parent/community engagement efforts on key topics related to program, operations and strategic planning. Digital Storytelling Manage and moderate social communities across official school district platforms and track performance to inform enhancements and focus. Coordinate with the school district leadership team to plan and produce targeted, district-level social content and campaigns. Provide day-to-day building and school district coverage to develop content aligned with school district vision map, goals and priorities for official social accounts and special purpose publications; and, post weather-related closings and delays on social platforms, if desired. (5 days per week embedded coverage) Budget Communications Coordinate school district community budget communications, including content development, graphic design and production for 8-page print newsletter (English/Spanish), budget webpage and social media. District is responsible for contracting with a separate vendor for printing and mailing. (Rockland BOCES can coordinate Spanish translation at an additional cost, if CHUFSD does not have in-house translation capabilities.) Media Relations Serve as the school district’s primary contact for media and cultivate productive relationships with local outlets. At the request of the Superintendent of Schools, coordinate press conferences and interviews, as needed. Provide strategic communications guidance and counsel to district administrators. Crisis Communications Provide timely counsel and support to help district leadership assess situations, develop messaging and communicate with confidence, as needed. Special Purpose Publication: Work Session Recaps Attend Board meetings and draft monthly work session recaps to be shared via e-blast with staff, families and community. ESTIMATED COST FOR 2026-27 Service Cost* $178,000 Total Cost Based on 30% BOCES Aid: $124,600 SERVICES NOT INCLUDED: This scope of service was developed for the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District with the understanding that the district has in-house web design/maintenance and videography capabilities. Therefore, these services are not included in the Rockland BOCES scope, as reflected in the descriptions above. *Service Cost will be pro-rated according to actual term of service for the 2026-27 school year.
