Bx.EECKER. Jan Jansen Bleeckcr, a native of Meppel in the Province of Overyssel, Holland, came to New Amsterdam from Holland in 1658, and subsequently removed to Albany. He was one of the first aldermen named in the charter of Albany, A. D. 1686 ; and mayor of that city in 1695, mar. Margaret da. of Rutger Jacobsen, A. D. 1667. He d. eet. 91.
