Mr. de Lancey, in his Notes on Jones's History (i , 439) says it was on the "southeast corner of M'all and Pearl Stieets;" but he was certainly in error. Stevens, in his Progress of New York in a Century, 1776-1876, 25, correctly described the site of the old " .Merchants' Coffee-house."
