A very interesting paper concerning his conduct on the day when the enemy's ships came to anchor olT Tarrytown, in July, 1776, and concerning his doings " as a buyer of Pork for "this State," may bo seen in Historical Manuscripts, etc. : Misccllaucong Papers, x.xxiv., 549.
