In many counties, "'every scrap of paper'' connected with the draft has been sent to the federal authorities at the Washington war department, but in a few counties the clerks or others interested, made a list of those who were inducted into the draft, and the record of each. County clerk Earl R. Cherry is one of the few that realized the importance of this, and saved a list, which the public will appreciate more the coming years.
