It was incorporated, in 1S14, by the name of the "First Presbyterian Church in the village of West Farms;" Robert Givan, Caleb PelJ, Ebenczer Waterbur}', James Bathgate, James Renwick and John B. Gillespie, first trustees.* Prior to the year 1S36, it belonged to the Bedford Presbytery, but is now in connection with the second New York Presbytery.
