Letter from John Younglove in Behalf of Ebenezer Allen, who had been a prisoner with Burgoyne's Army, and deserted from thence, Iinediately after the Second Battle of Sarratogo: presented by himself praying to be Reinstated in his Countery's favour, thereupon Resolved, that he be dismissed from any farther prosicution he taking the Oath of fidelity to the State It appearing to this Board that the Committee of Saratoga District had ordered several of the Inhabitants of that District to depart the same, and otherwise proceeded illegally against Persons suspected, to be Inimical to the Cause of America Thereupon Resolved [3] T hat a Letter be prepared to saidCommittee which was done in the words following to wit (prout) Rec d the proceedings of a Committee from Charlottee County ordering Titus Meriman & Another to Convey from d this Goal one William "Filer to be tryed before S Committee
which Said order being taken Into Consideration thereupon Resolved that the Requisition Cannot be Complied with -- A Letter was prepared Stating the Objections and forwarded to them in the woords following (prout) Also A Letter was forwarded to John c Crea Esq? ordering him to deliver into this Goal W™ c Crea, who was permitted to absent himself on Bail of the S d John M Crea, c
