Minutes of the Commissioners for Detecting and Defeating Conspiracies in the State of New York
Joseph Greenman and Benjamin Greenman Jun? were brought before the Board and upon examination it appeared that they had been with the Enemy at Rhode Island and had been seduced thereto by their Father, that they upon the first oppertunity offering made their escape from the Enemy and prayed that they might be admitted as Subjects of the State -- [ 1 5 1] Ordered that the Special Oath of Allegiance be Tendered to them, which they accordingly took Benjamin Lull was brought before the Board and again examined, and nothing specially appearing therefrom -- Ordered that he be Liberated upon entring into Recognizance with sufficient Surety for his future good behaviour and Monthly appearance
