Minutes of the Commissioners for Detecting and Defeating Conspiracies in the State of New York
Robert Herbert who was some Time since taken a Prisoner to the Westward and sent down to this Place was brought before the Board and it appearing that the said Robert Herbert has been with the Enemy and did desert from them and was on his Way to surrender himself a Prisoner when he was apprehended therefore ordered that the said Robert Herbert be discharged from his present Confinement -- Isaac Bogert laid before the Board an Account of his Wages for going with a Number of disaffected Persons who refused to take the Oath of Allegiance from Albany to Fort Edward and also for Services by him performed in going to Cherry Valley to receive Information respecting the Seizure of a Number of Cattle by the Continental Troops which they had advertised for Sale the whole amounting to £2'j„6J p Ordered that the Secretary pay the same -- 2
