Jackson Odell: "The six principal guides re- -cieved the pay of Captains, and they consisted of John Odell, Cornelius Oakley Abraham Dyckman, Michael Dyckman Isaac Odell (that is, Uck Odell cousin of John) and John Pine My father in the end of 1778 pur- -suant to the earnest advice of Col. Delancey, and to save his friends from outrage and their property from des- -truction retired from West Chester and joined Colonel Graham's regiment of New York Levies in which he served for months as a Lieutenant upon the Mohawk.
