Simmons in consequence left the corps and went above. Williams was reputed a good officer.

Septr. 22d. Austin Stinnard, of Throgs Neck: "Capt. Simmons & Capt. Frederick Williams had a quarrel in which Williams struck Simmons and drew his sword and wanted to fight him. The quarrel was irreconcilable, and - Hufeland Index Page 512 - Simmons in consequence left the corps and went above. Williams was reputed a good officer.
