Messrs. Lee and Alexr. Van Wart: "On the hillside above the store three roads fork. The North road is the Sleepy Hollow, the middle road, the Bedford, and the south, the White Plains road. - Davis's Hill, Sugar loaf Hill, and Valentine's Hill are different names for the same eminence. This hill is about a mile from the Post road, and a small guard was often there.
