New Croton Dam — HAER Color Transparency (View 1)

Color transparency photograph from the Historic American Engineering Record survey of the New Croton Dam. Shows the massive masonry dam completed in 1906 — at 297 feet high, it was the tallest dam in the world at the time of its completion. The dam created the New Croton Reservoir, which still supplies water to New York City.
