Willard Cope Brinton — Portrait (c. 1920)

Portrait photograph of Willard Cope Brinton (1880-1957), Harvard-trained mechanical engineer and founding figure of American information visualization. Brinton and his wife Laura owned the country property in Croton-on-Hudson that became Brinton Brook Sanctuary after her memorial donation to the National Audubon Society in 1957.
