Cypher, Rachel

John M. McDonald interview — 1846-11-21

From the Westchester County Historical Society catalog:
Rachel Ecker Cypher (1761-1854, also spelled Syffer) states her belief regarding the location of a raid where Loyalists under the command of Colonel James DeLancey captured American stores and cattle. She believes that the raid took place at Wright’s Mills, a location that has since been submerged by the Kensico Reservoir.
