Tonight's general fund is $78,304.33. The water fund is $4,499.68. Sewer fund is $750.41. The capital fund is $48,604.25. And the trust fund is for $1,330

• first item in the correspondence and just thank Spencer who is providing us with a contribution left over from his Eagle Scout project. And the letter provides a great description of the project, and we're very grateful to Spencer for his work. We've watched Spencer in various activities and projects go up through his scout ranks. And he's been a great scout, his family has been terrific about making contributions to our civic life here. So I just wanted to point that out and give everyone a chance when they can to read that letter.

• Number one, I didn't bring I didn't hear it brought up, but for those people that are truly in our village who are truly affected by the lack of
• snap funds for food for their family.
• Hopefully, the village directly by vote and through its charities makes up food packages for those people to get them through this democratic shutdown of the federal government, which is unconscionable. Not paying our soldiers, not paying people who direct our airplanes. And if safety requires it, we should shut down the entire air air system in The United States, which may happen in a couple of weeks. And you as public officials have an obligation to tell those higher than you in the political hierarchy to set this straight immediately. I don't think you'll do that because you're you're of the same political party they are, but it should be done. Item two, at this agenda at this podium here several weeks ago, you hosted a group from outside year. Group of a 100 or the pack of a 100, some some environmental group here in the world that I'm not familiar with. Outraged by the extension and expansion expansion of of a a gas pipeline
• through nearby territory. My is Drew Krug. My name is Drew Krug. And in in this outrageous climate apocalyptic scenario, which they described up here and the mayor joined in.
• Totally against any type of fossil fuel, which that's exactly what was required right now. And it's projected by every Wall Street analyst that the need for electricity will increase by 165% between three to five years. And we're gonna pretend that some of these passive source of electricity can provide that, which is absolutely ridiculous, even prompting a democratic governor to say, you know what? We closed Indian Point too early. And you sure as hell hasn't haven't closed those big big big that plant upstate was bigger than Indian Point. So here at this very platform, joined in by the trustees in sentiment, this guy declared that nuclear's passe, nuclear's. Well, he doesn't read in the newspapers. One of the hottest items in terms of investment right now is not only nuclear fusion, but nuclear fission for the future, which is totally clean. And these guys are saying it's passe. It's out of date. You can't use it. Absolute stupidity. It's sort of like a man can become a woman and a woman can become a man. Totally scientific garbage. And even Bill Gates, in the last seven days, comparing for various audience, including Wall Street, said that the environmental extremism, this this terror, this fear and outrage for the future of what's gonna happen to our planet, there are gonna be serious consequences if if the climate if the temperatures increase. But the world the world has been through this before. So rather than prepare for that on a progressive basis over, say, a hundred years, people are running around tearing their hair out and throwing the baby out with the bath bathwater, literally. So the environmental extremism I saw that day, it was amusing, but it was scary because I believe 100% of the elected officials in this village buy into that part, and not just because of that committee sense for one

the village manager will get address this. Why there are sense real live policemen guarding construction sites? Hopefully, they're being paid by ConEd or somebody. But to have two real live policemen guarding each road construction site is a waste of time and money, especially when they have guards there with signs on both ends of it. And lastly, I won't read this in a minute, but this is a story of Dalkon Shield, which is one of the three vicious IUDs proposed by the government and its partners, the Planned Parenthood, and so forth, and the extreme disaster it created for women throughout The United States abetted by The US I'm inspired. Yep. Thanks, everybody, who went out and voted early voted or voted yesterday. Oh, one day. Just a couple things. I wanted to shout out the arrival screening, is happening on Saturday. This is the through the idea committee and also in partnership with the Unitarian Unitarian Church. This is a great it's really short. You you'll be in and out, but it's a a really moving film. So I encourage people to go support that. That's at 5PM on November 8.
• Also, the library is having their Bakes Bacon book sale this weekend, so can't miss events.
• And just to address the one public comment, Republicans control all three branches of government. Our representative is a Republican. He is aware that we would like him to reopen the government, obviously. So I I am very concerned, and we you know, as a as a group, I know we're concerned about families impacted, whether they're have SNAP or not. And I know, you know, between Cronkering and the food pantry, there's a lot of work being done. And I hope, you know, our communication about this, we've got, you know, we've got a banner on the website. We're we're doing our best to make sure that people are aware of the services that they they can request, and we hope that our community knows that, you know, we're here to help in in whatever way we we can for for those individuals and families. Thank you, trustee Nicholson. Just a few things. Our bicycle and pedestrian committee had their monthly meeting last Thursday, the thirtieth, and that coincided with the launch of the new version of Slow Down Croton. The lawn signs are not only here, but people have already begun to pick them up. Everyone can get both the sign and the metal stand for the sign at the police department. They're right there. And when you when you walk in, they'll be they'll be happy to get you one. And it's been very encouraging to see just in the five or six days since that meeting that they're all over the village. So it's been great to see that. So we thank the bicycle and pedestrian committee for overseeing that process for us. And we also worked during that meeting on some of the location suggestions for our our next shared road signs on Maple, that Maple. We already have the signs up in a number of a number of places. Maple is gonna take a little bit longer because it's a state road, and there's a slightly different process, but we'll be ready on those, I think, fairly soon. And then we also had a briefing with the Board on Project Movers' next moves. Project Movers will take a winter pause like Austin did last year, like all the committees will do. So that will happen sometime in December, and that pause will go through the March. And then when Project Mover comes back, we will have the opportunity for some expansion to add to the hub. So that I think that's going to be a conversation among the
• next two or three possibly should go in the village. I just want to report on our bicycle and pedestrian committee. Also, just in in line with what, you know, folks have been reporting on on the snap question and food, doing the the rotary food packing on Fridays, every other Friday on behalf of the of the of the food pantry. We had we've been averaging on most Fridays about a 140 bags, but the the most recent packing we did was Friday, which was actually the the the last day of of Snap being alive. And then, of course, November 1, the first day of it went into went into its freeze. And so we went from 140 bags to two zero nine bags, which is about a 66% increase. And I think that will continue to grow as long as the shutdown is going on. Just one example of how the need is trying to be met, and of course, we're all in trouble to do more in that regard. Last night, the planning board met and did did some did some good work for the village. They approved the the signage for the grand, which we're all happy to see. Also approved the the signage for the

• of the old ASAP mortgage next to the Chinese restaurant. The owner was there. We wish them well. And so it was a productive meeting for the planning board, including a new single family home to be constructed at 73 Melrose. So, a busy night for me for the Planning Board. And then just three calendar announcements this Friday at 06:00. We have six p. M, we have the ribbon cutting for and looking forward to that and there'll be lots of activities connected to that. There's actually, it's on the it's in the in the community calendar. There's also there. They're offering some free lessons and activities as early as five. So people should check that out. And then I've mentioned this before, but now the website and all the information, including the QR code is available for the Rotary Turkey Trial. This
• is the morning of Thanksgiving and all of the funding going to the Maria Ferreri Children's Hospital. So, it's it's $5 and to a nice turnout on on Thanksgiving morning and then, last but not least, we have a going back to Project Mover. We have another bike skills training class Saturday morning, November twenty second, from ten to 01:30, split evenly, likely between the classroom and the actual bike
Okay. I wanna thank everyone that participated in Tuesday's election, whether as candidates, poll watchers, or voters. And I wanna invite everyone to our Veterans Day ceremony this Tuesday eleven, or rather the coming Tuesday at eleven at Veterans Corners. Thank you.
Thank you, mayor. And just to add on to what the mayor was saying about Veterans Day, depending on the weather that may be held indoors at Holy Mary Church in the gymnasium. So just check check before you go. It is supposed to be quite cold on Tuesday morning, so I don't know if they may wanna move it inside for for cold weather. So we'll have to see how that it's it's been done. It yeah. So we'll have to see how that goes. I think it's supposed to be in the thirties on Tuesday morning. So and then just to answer mister Riley's question, our police officers are sometimes requested by utility providers, whether it's ConEd, Verizon, to be stationed on roads where there's, you know, more traffic. Currently, they are working on Paddon Road. ConEd is doing a gas main replacement project there, so they when they when they need the road fully closed, they ask for a police presence. If they're just if they're just working with you know, on the side of the road where they have one lane open, they use their flaggers. But if the road's fully closed, they've requested police. And those hours are paid for by Con Edison. They reimburse us for that cost. Thank you. Yep.
