Patrol was notified by a Poughkeepsie resident, who works in Croton, that he was on an online dating account communicating with a party when the party requested to exchange numbers, which he agreed. He then began receiving text messages and indicated the other unknown person was attempting to get him to reveal his personal information. The texts also stated they would sell his social security number and post online that he had been involved with a minor in a sexual way. Caller has no financial loss and presently no crime has been committed; he wanted the incident on record.
