Patrol responded to the area of the New York Sports Clubs on a report of a truck colliding into a light post.

Patrol responded to the area of Route 9 on a report of a sofa in the roadway. Patrol checked the area but did not locate the sofa.

A caller reported that a dog, tied to a stroller at the entrance to Vassallo Park, lunged at him and his dog. Patrol responded to the area and located the animal. Patrols issued warnings to involved parties.

Patrol responded to the area of Hunter Place on a report of a loose dog. Patrol canvassed the area with the owner and the dog was located.

A resident came into police headquarters to report being the victim of a fraudulent unemployment benefits claim.

Patrol was attempting to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Route 9 south when the vehicle initially failed to comply. Eventually the vehicle did comply and patrol issued summonses to the operator.

A caller from the BP Gas Station on Croton Point Avenue reports that a female is in the store who was just abandoned by her friends. Patrols responded and report that a friend of the female sent her into the store and then drove off. Female is not from the area. Patrols brought the female to the Croton train station. Patrols were able to speak with MTA staff and assist the female onto a train going back to her residence.

A caller reported two men in the area of Old Post Road South wearing hard hats on the sidewalk. The caller thought the behavior strange for that time of the morning. Patrols responded and were able to identify the men working were from the NYS DOT. The workers were installing a car-counting traffic strip.

Patrol responded to the area of Sunset Drive for a medical alert. Patrols were able to speak with the owner of the device and confirm that it was set off accidentally.

A caller reports that in the area of Cleveland Drive and the Croton Gorge Trail, while she was walking her leashed dog, a group of adults with approximately 4 unleashed dogs approached her, and the loose dogs started attacking her dog. Caller reports she attempted to get the names of the adults involved but nobody would cooperate. Patrols responded to the area and did not locate any of the parties involved. Patrols spoke with the caller. Patrols continuing to investigate.

A male came into police headquarters to report incidents that occurred at the Watergate Motor Inn on Albany Post Road. The male was referred to the New York State Police that have jurisdiction in that area.

A caller reported that his office in the area of South Riverside Avenue was broken into sometime overnight. Patrols and Detectives responded and are investigating.

Caller wanted to report that last night one of her employees found a man sleeping on the steps of her business which is located in the area of South Riverside Avenue. The employee confronted the man who then left the area. Caller was advised to have the employee contact the police next time instead of confronting the man herself.

A resident came into police headquarters with court paperwork that needed to be served. Patrols were able to serve the paperwork on the individual involved later that evening.

A resident called reporting receiving a threatening text message from an unknown person. Patrols investigated.

Patrols responded to the area of Benedict Boulevard on a report of a possible drug sale taking place. Patrol were able to locate the male described and spoke with him. Patrol did not find any evidence of criminal activity at this time.

A resident came into police headquarters to report being the victim of possible identity theft and fraudulent activity.

A resident called to report observing someone speeding and passing vehicles in the area of Half Moon Bay. The resident confronted the person. The resident wanted the incident documented.

Dig Safely NY called to report an emergency dig occurring on the north end of the Village. Patrol desk made the proper notifications.

Patrol responded to the area of South Riverside Avenue for a male having a medical issue. Croton EMS also responded and transported the male to the hospital.

White Plains Police Department called to advise they may have located a vehicle stolen out of the Village. Detectives responded to White Plains to continue the investigation.

Patrol reports conducting a seatbelt safety check point in the area of Croton Point Avenue. At one point, patrol reports advising a female operator to pull over for not wearing a seatbelt. Patrol reports the female became extremely irate and started screaming and yelling and exited the vehicle. Patrol was able to calm the individual down initially and have her sit back in her vehicle. Individual involved then attempted to drive off but patrol was able to stop the vehicle again. Patrol issued a summons to the operator for not wearing a seatbelt as well as a warning for another Vehicle & Traffic Law violation.

Patrols responded to the area of Newton Court on a report by a homeowner of a possible scam by a contractor. Patrols interviewed homeowner and homeowner is following up with the contracting company at this time.

New York State Police called to report that they received a call from a male who was suicidal and who they believe to be located in the area of Croton Point Avenue. A separate caller then contacted the police department and reported that her boyfriend is possibly suicidal in the same area. Patrols were eventually able to locate the male involved in the area of South Riverside Avenue. Croton EMS also responded and patrols accompanied the individual involved with Croton EMS to the hospital.

A resident reported trucks parked illegally in the area of Grand Street. A parking enforcement officer responded to the area.

Patrol responded to the area of Route 129 on a report of a male walking a dog in the middle of the roadway. Patrols were unable to locate the individual.

Patrol desk received a 911 call from a business located on Albany Post Road. Staff at that location reported no emergencies were occurring.

Patrol reports being flagged down by an employee of a business located in the area of South Riverside Avenue. The employee reported that a male who is possibly drunk keeps calling the establishment and harassing them. The patrol officer then spoke to the male on the phone when he called again. Male refused to give any identifying information but was advised to stop contacting the establishment.

Patrol responded to the area of Prickly Pear Hill Road for a report of a male having a mental health emergency. Croton EMS also responded. Patrols were able to transport and accompany the individual aboard a Croton EMS ambulance to the hospital.

Alarm company called to report an alarm at a Village-owned property.

Patrols responded to the area of Mount Airy Road for a female with a medical issue. Croton EMS also responded and transported the female to the hospital.

Patrol responded to the area of Route 9 for an object in the roadway. Patrol was able to remove the object from the roadway.

Patrol responded to a residence on Maple Street because of a 911 call. Caller reports dialing the number in error.

Patrols, along with the Croton Fire Department, responded to a business on South Riverside Avenue on a report of the odor of something burning inside. A light fixture was located inside the business that was causing the condition.

A resident called to report being the victim of possible identity theft and fraudulent activities.

Patrols responded to a parking lot of a business on South Riverside Avenue for a motor vehicle accident.

Caller reported that her daughter got off the school bus in the area of Mount Airy Road approximately 10 to 15 minutes ago and that an unknown man in a black SUV drove up alongside her and asked if she wanted a ride. The girl was able to leave the area and run back home. A description of the male indicated that he was a white male, bald, with beard stubble and possibly in his 40’s. Patrols canvassed the area and could not locate the vehicle or individual involved. Investigation ongoing.

A caller reported being involved in a road rage incident on Route 9. Caller reported the other vehicle has left the area but provided some possible identifying information. Patrols were unable to locate the vehicle or contact the possible owner.

Patrols responded to the area of Grand Street on a report of a suicidal female located in a residence. Patrols were able to locate the female and accompany her aboard a Croton EMS ambulance to the hospital.

Patrol desk received a call from a business on Albany Post Road reporting a staff member having a medical issue. Croton EMS responded and transported the individual to the hospital.

Patrol responded to a residence in the area of Hastings Avenue for a medical aid. At the residence a female was deceased. Patrols made necessary notifications and awaited until a funeral home responded to the residence.

Patrol responded to a report of possible harassment at a business in the area of Mount Green Road. Employee of the business reported an incident that happened earlier in the day. Patrols filed a report and employees will follow up with their supervisors.

Patrols responded to a residence on Oneida Avenue for a dog barking incessantly. Patrols unable to contact owner. Patrols were able to assist the dog to the back of the residence where it was able to enter back into the house.

Patrols responded to the area of Cleveland Drive for a report of a low hanging utility wire. Patrols report that the wire was a guy wire and that they were able to move the wire out of the way. Con Edison was also notified.

Patrols responded to the area of Silver Lake and the Croton Gorge Trail on a report of an unleashed dog. Patrol was unable to locate the animal.

Patrol desk reports receiving various warrants and orders of protection from the Village Court.

Patrol responded to a disabled vehicle blocking the roadway in the area of Municipal Place. Patrols were able to assist motorist who ran out of gas.

Patrol desk received a call from an individual who had fallen and could not get up. The caller was out of the Village’s jurisdiction and so the proper notifications were made and an ambulance was sent to assist the individual.

A patrol unit was flagged down by a female in the area of South Riverside Avenue who reported three males were going around soliciting for money. Patrol located the males who advised they were soliciting for religious purposes and did not ask anyone for money.

Patrols responded to the area of Brook Street for a loud vehicle. Patrols were able to speak to the individual involved and corrected the condition.

Patrols responded to the area of the Echo Canoe Launch on a report of a possible homeless man on the ground. Patrols canvassed the area and could not locate the individual.

A resident in the area of Franklin Avenue reported that earlier in the day a male wearing a hard hat and identification indicating he worked for Con Edison came to her house and requested access to the boiler area. Patrol desk was able to contact Con Edison who confirmed the male was indeed employed by them to check for corrosion in gas lines leading into residences in that area.

Caller indicated he lost his cell phone in the area of the Croton Colonial Diner on South Riverside.

Patrol responded to the area of Grand Street regarding a POD container placed on the roadway. Patrol reports container is placed to the side of the roadway, and patrol also placed some cones around the container.

Another resident in the area of Franklin Avenue called to report that earlier in the day a male came to her house claiming to work for Con Edison. Patrol desk again contacted Con Edison and confirmed the male was on official business and hired by them for the purposes of checking residences for line corrosion.

A resident of Mountain Trail contacted the police regarding a problem accessing her residence. Patrol desk made proper notifications to assist the resident.

Patrols responded to a residence on Elmore Avenue due to a 911 call that was disconnected. Patrols confirmed no emergencies at the residence.

Patrols responded to the Half Moon Bay complex on a report of a suspicious incident involving a resident’s bicycle. Incident was determined to be a prank by the resident’s friends.

Detectives report emptying contents of the prescription drug drop box located at Croton Police headquarters. Contents to be destroyed.

Patrols responded to Route 9 on a report of a vehicle driving erratically. Patrols canvassed the area but could not locate the vehicle.

Detectives advised that they, accompanied by the Croton Rotary Club, took part in a DEA Drug Take Back Day at the Croton Commons on South Riverside Avenue. Several boxes of assorted prescription medication were collected and turned over to members of the Drug Enforcement Administration for destruction.

Patrol responded to the area of Old Post Road South on a report of a female having a medical issue. Croton EMS also responded and transported the female to the hospital.

Patrol units responded to the area of Radnor Avenue on a report of a medical life alert being activated. Patrols did not locate the individual at the residence but were able to locate her at a business in the Village. Patrol reports the alarm was activated erroneously.

Alarm company called to report an alarm at a business on Maple Street. Patrols responded and reported that the location was all secure.

A resident contacted the police department to report a water issue in her home. Patrol desk was able to make proper notifications to the Croton Water Department who checked on the condition.

Caller reported a low hanging wire in the area of Park Trail. Patrols responded and confirmed wire was low. Con Edison was contacted and will address the condition.

Patrols responded to a report of a sewer grate missing in the area of Ridge Road. Patrols placed cones around the area and contacted the Croton Water Department and DPW to address the condition.

A caller reported being in a motor vehicle accident on Route 129 in the area of the Croton Gorge Park. Patrol desk advised the caller that the incident was out of our jurisdictional area. Patrol desk was able to contact the New York State Police who responded to the incident.

Caller reported finding graffiti on his building located on Old Post Road South. Graffiti was caused sometime during the overnight hours. Patrols responded to the area. Patrols to investigate.

Patrol responded to the Shoprite parking lot on a report of an unattended bull dog tied to a pole jumping up at people. Upon arrival the animal (and owner) had already left the area.

New Castle Police Department advised that they are looking for a vehicle being operated by a possible suicidal female. Patrols checked the Village and did not locate the female. New Castle Police later reported that they were able to find the female involved in another jurisdiction.
