Police responded after a large tree fell onto a residence, damaging a skylight and utility lines. No injuries were reported. Con Edison, Verizon, and Village personnel responded to address the hazards and restore service.
Suspicious Incident
August 24, 2026 – 10:15 PM · South Riverside Avenue
Police responded after a store employee reported concern that individuals were waiting outside to confront her after work. Officers checked the area, but the parties had already left. The employee departed safely without further incident.
Neighbor Dispute

Police responded to a dispute between neighbors. Officers spoke with both parties, who agreed to avoid further contact. The incident was resolved without further issues.
Suspicious Person

Police responded after a homeowner reported an unknown individual at the front door captured on a home security camera. Officers determined an intoxicated neighbor had mistakenly gone to the wrong residence.

Arrest

Police stopped a vehicle for speeding and determined the driver was operating with a revoked license. The driver was arrested, the vehicle was impounded, and multiple traffic summonses were issued.
Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries

Police, Fire Department, and EMS responded to a three-vehicle crash. One individual was transported to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. The incident remains under investigation.
Property Damage Accident

Police investigated a vehicle that was struck while parked overnight. A note was left on the damaged vehicle, and officers are following up as part of the investigation.

Animal Complaint

Police responded to reports of an injured fawn alongside the roadway. The animal was humanely dispatched due to its injuries, and the Department of Public Works was notified for removal.
