Welfare Check
August 30, 2026 – 5:41 PM · North Riverside Avenue
A resident reported two teens, approximately fifteen years old, acting disorderly. Caller reports they exchanged words, then the teens started banging a pipe on the road, causing concern about potential property damage. Patrols responded to the area and also checked the high school ground with negative results.
Vehicle Stop
August 31, 2026 – 9:52 AM · Route 9 South
An officer observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speeds and driving aggressively. The driver was stopped and issued multiple traffic summonses. After committing additional violations upon leaving the stop, the driver was stopped again and issued additional summonses.
Property Damage Accident
September 1, 2026 – 1:38 PM · South Riverside Avenue
Police responded to a two-vehicle crash. Both vehicles required towing, and an accident report was completed.
Loose Dog
September 2, 2026 – 12:32 PM · Wells Avenue
Police responded after a loose dog was reported in a residential neighborhood. Officers located the animal and reunited it with its owner before the dog warden was needed.
Scooter Accident
September 2, 2026 – 6:29 PM · Maple Street
Police responded after receiving a report that a child had been struck by a vehicle. Officers determined the child had fallen while operating a scooter. The child was transported to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation.
Fraud Investigation
September 3, 2026 – 5:30 PM · Van Wyck Street
Police took a report from a resident who discovered multiple fraudulent credit accounts opened in his name. The incident remains under investigation.
Village Ordinance Violation
September 4, 2026 – 10:31 AM · Warren Road Bridge
Police located an unauthorized event banner attached to the Warren Road overpass. Village officials confirmed it had not been approved, and arrangements were made for its removal.
Property Damage Accident
September 5, 2026 – 7:58 PM · Maple Street
Police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving property damage. One vehicle required towing, and an accident report was completed.
