May 7, 2026 Dr. Richard Becker, Town Supervisor & Town of Cortlandt Town Board Members 1 Heady Street Cortlandt Manor, New York 10567 Dear Dr. Becker & Town Board Members: I am writing in regards to a parcel of land which the Town currently owns at 21 Cook Lane in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson (SBL #67.19-2-27). The Town foreclosed on this property in 2021 due to the non-payment of taxes. This particular parcel was designated as a playground area on the filed 1954 subdivision map, and is not considered a buildable lot (a decision re-affirmed by the court in 2010). The Village of Croton-on-Hudson requests that the Town transfer this parcel of land to the Village for park purposes. If such request is granted, the Village will work with the Recreation Department and the Recreation Advisory Committee to determine what use would be best for the residents of Cook Lane/Wolf Road to enjoy the parcel.
