On motion of TRUSTEE ___________, seconded by TRUSTEE _____________, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York with the following vote: Resolution #245-2026 WHEREAS, New York State has recently enacted legislation that allows municipalities to provide a full tax exemption to veterans of the Armed Forces who have a 100% service-connected disability; and WHEREAS, the Village Board of Trustees discussed this tax exemption option at a work session held on September 9, 2026; and WHEREAS, Local Law Introductory No. 17 of 2026 has been drafted for such purposes, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board of Trustees hereby calls for a Public Hearing on November 4, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Georgianna Grant Meeting Room of the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building to consider Local Law Introductory No. 17 of 2026 to amend Chapter 204, Taxation, of the Village Code to add a full tax exemption for the primary residence of qualifying veterans with a 100% service-connected disability.
