From: To: Cc: Date: Donation of Eagle Scout Project Funds & Materials Monday, October 27, 2025 6:00:07 PM ***CAUTION: External sender.*** Hello Mr. Healy, As you may recall, I have been working on the completion of my Eagle Scout project on behalf of the Village of Croton and Croton Trails Committee, involving building a bridge over a section of the Upper Village Loop Trail. I have completed the physical construction segment of the project and am now seeking to work with the Village of Croton, the official beneficiary of the project, to wrap up the remaining elements.  When I conducted fundraising for the project, I was instructed by Scouting America guidelines to be raising money on behalf of the project beneficiary in order to fund the project. As a result, I have excess donations on hand, in the form of money and materials, that need to be donated to the project beneficiary or to a suitable charity that is designated by the project beneficiary, per Scouting regulations. I have been in contact with several people at the Trails Committee, who have notified me that the turnover of donations should probably flow through you in your position as Village Manager in order to comply with the regulations and interests of all parties involved. I would now like to formally offer the sum of $263.77, as well as three 2" x 4" x 8' pieces of lumber, approximately 30 feet of chicken wire, and approximately 100 washers and steel staples as a donation to the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, the beneficiary of my Eagle Scout Project. All of the money and materials were generously donated by various community members for use in my Eagle Scout Project, and having completed my project under budget and without waste of materials, I have no further use for them. In keeping with the nature of the project, as well as the intent of the various donors, I would like to request that these donations be earmarked and used by the Village of Croton-on-Hudson for the purposes of trail maintenance and other related activities as it sees fit.  If you have any questions, please reach out to me through email or set up a meeting to discuss the project & donation in person if you see fit. Following the donation of materials and money, the next steps in my project will also involve a final approval by you as the project beneficiary representative, which I will reach out to you about shortly.
