Zoning Text Amendment
Dear Ms. DiSanto:
The Westchester County Planning Board has received an amendment to the text of the Croton-on-
Hudson Zoning Ordinance to revise the regulations regarding adult-use cannabis facilities. Definitions
would be established for Adult-Use Cannabis Retail Dispensaries, which would not include on-site
consumption, and for Public Youth Facilities. General standards for Cannabis Dispensaries would be
codified, including screening, business hours, security, and parking requirements. Dispensary siting
would follow State distancing requirements from schools and places of worship, and would not be
allowed within 500 feet from a public youth facility or 1,000 feet from another dispensary.
We have no objection to the Croton-on-Hudson Village Board assuming Lead Agency status for this
review.
We have reviewed this application under the provisions of Section 239 L, M and N of the General
Municipal Law and Section 277.61 of the County Administrative Code and find it to be a matter for local
determination in accordance with the Village’s planning and zoning policies.
Please inform us of the Village’s decision so that we can make it a part of the record.
Thank you for calling this matter to our attention.
