TO: Mayor Brian Pugh and the Village Board of Trustees
FROM: Chairman Simon, Waterfront Advisory Committee
RE: Referral from Village Board of Trustees to review correspondence from NY State
Department of Transportation for a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP)
Consistency review for the biennial painting of long lines on state roadways.
DATE: October 30, 2026
On Thursday, October 29, 2026, the Waterfront Advisory Committee (WAC) reviewed the
referral listed above for consistency with the Village’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program
(LWRP). Based on the Committee’s review of the 44 LWRP policies, the Waterfront Advisory
Committee made a recommendation of consistency with the LWRP.
Chairman Simon summarized that this project would remark and reapply long line pavement
markings to maintain their intended properties and delineation, ensuring roadways remained
properly defined. This project is exempt from SEQR. It was noted that this project has been
done before successfully.
The WAC reviewed the 44 LWRP policies and determined that none were applicable.
It is for the reasons contained in this memorandum that the WAC issues its recommendation of
consistency.
