To: The Village Board of Trustees and Village Manager From: The Police Advisory Committee Date: January 18, 2026 Subject: Red Light Cameras The Police Advisory Committee met on January 15, 2026, to discuss the proposed red light cameras at the intersection of Municipal Place and Riverside Avenue and a second camera at Route 9 southbound off ramp and Croton Point Avenue. • The PAC is aware that the use of various types of cameras within the Village is a topic of discussion on non-government Village Facebook pages and amongst Village residents. The committee will discuss all Village government cameras at the March PAC meeting. • The PAC did not formulate an opinion about the use of red light cameras, awaiting discussion at the March meeting. • The PAC did not discuss the pros and cons of the proposed locations for red light cameras as the Chief asked that he have time to discuss locations with Manager Healy. • The PAC recommends that clear signage be placed in the immediate vicinity of the red light cameras advising drivers of their use.
