County Planning Board Referral File: CRO-26-001 – Clarifications and Updates
Zoning Text Amendment
Dear Ms. DiSanto:
The Westchester County Planning Board has received an amendment to the text of the Croton-on-
Hudson Zoning Ordinance to provide clarifications and updates to various segments of the Code. The
amendments include revising definitions, establishing the Planning Board as the approval body for
Special Permit applications, determinations where Tier 4 Solar Energy Systems and Tier 2 Battery
Energy Storage Systems are permitted, establishing the number of fowl permitted on residential
properties, clarifying board application requirements, and other clarifications to various portions of the
Code.
We have reviewed this matter under the provisions of Section 239 L, M and N of the General Municipal
Law and Section 277.61 of the County Administrative Code and find it to be a matter for local
determination in accordance with the Village’s planning and zoning policies.
Please inform us of the Village’s decision so that we can make it a part of the record.
Thank you for calling this matter to our attention.
