To: From: Date: October 24, 2023 Re: Telecommunications Advisory Committee Survey The Telecommunications Advisory Committee has been working for the past three months with the Village’s consultant, Televate, on ways to improve the wireless coverage in the Village. The work of the committee has now progressed to the point that a public survey is ready to be disseminated to Village residents to gather their opinions on the topic. The survey is primarily seeking to understand public sentiment on cell tower infrastructure. Do residents of the Village want additional towers (such as the one at the train station parking lot) if it meant better service? The committee and consultant also want to hear opinions on the small cell technology that is currently being implemented in some areas by wireless carriers. The survey was designed to be concise and to be completed in a few minutes, in an effort to achieve a good response rate among residents. Please let me know if you have any questions.
