To: From: Frank Balbi, P.E., Superintendent of Public Works CC: Date: November 22nd, 2023 Re: Welding Services - Bid # 07-2023 Annually, the Village of Croton contracts with a welding company to assist the Department of Public Works with welding services that cannot be performed in-house. Often, the work completed under this contract is structural in nature and must be performed by a certified welder. On November 10, 2023, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson advertised for invitations to bid on the Welding Services project (Bid # 07-2023). On November 21, 2023, two bids were received and publicly read. The following results were returned: Bid Results: Bidder Bid Amount 1. Senco Metals $ 84,000 2. Santella Welding $ 34,720 Santella Welding has provided the Village with excellent service over the past few years, and has been responsive to any issues that have occurred. I recommend approving Santella Welding’s proposal for the Welding Service contract in the amount of $34,720.00. Funding for this contract is included in the 2023-2024 operating budget.
