On motion of TRUSTEE -, seconded by TRUSTEE -, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York with the following vote: Resolution #35-2024 WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson Board of Trustees supports efforts to cut its municipal carbon footprint; and WHEREAS, the Village has been an active participant in New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)’s past grant funding programs; and WHEREAS, the Village plans to take the necessary steps in NYSERDA's Clean Energy Community (CEC) program competition to qualify to receive grants that do not require matching or other funds from the Village; and WHEREAS, analyses by the Village's Sustainability Committee have determined that installing heat pumps, solar arrays, electric vehicle (EV) chargers, and EVs in Croton would comply with CEC grant funding requirements, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Trustees hereby authorizes Mayor Brian Pugh to sign the necessary Letter of Commitment indicating support for those efforts and that such grant funds received by the Village will be used as indicated in that letter.
