Minutes of the Advisory Board on the Visual Environment virtual meeting held June 6, 2026. The board unanimously accepted facade sign designs for Magical Beginnings at 10 Old Post Road South and 365 S. Riverside Ave, where the letter L will be about 11 1/2 inches tall and the glass will be transparent with curving blue lines and green stars, along with a sign for The Hudson Condos at 25 S. Riverside Ave. The board also unanimously approved the proposed Dobbs Park scoreboard, and there were no comments on the draft May 12, 2026 minutes.

Building Inspector Danalys Nazario, CCEO Fire Inspector James Ferguson Advisory Board on the Visual Environment Agenda Virtual Meeting June 06, 2026 at 7:00pm - In Attendance: Tatyana Polyak, Maria Slippen, Jennifer Dela Rosa, Jan Johnsen, Tyler Blaire, Ralph Rossi, Danalys Nazario. 1. Magical Beginnings – 10 Old Post Road South. The VEB expressed concerns that the proposed font size might be too small to be visible on the facade. It was clarified that the rendering shown in the photo was not clear. For comparison, the letter “L” will be approximately 11 ½” inches in height. It was also clarified that the glass will not be tinted black as depicted in the rendering; instead, it will be transparent and feature the curving blue lines and green stars shown in the design. Following the discussion and clarifications, the VEB unanimously agreed that the proposed design was acceptable. 2. Magical Beginnings – 365 S. Riverside Ave. There are two façade signs at this location. The first sign is the same as above facing S. Riverside. The second sign faces Benedict Blvd which is slightly different. Following the discussion and clarifications above, the VEB unanimously agreed that the proposed design was acceptable. Benedict Boulevard South Riverside Avenue 3. The Hudson Condos – 25 S. Riverside Ave. A description of the proposed sign began with “The Hudson” and showed the sign positioned directly against the entrance stair, at a riser before the intermediate landing. A photo of the sign placed was shown. The VEB unanimously agreed that the proposed design was acceptable. The landscaping in the front yard was also discussed, and the plantings were reported to be growing and thriving. 4. Review of Village Projects – Dobbs Park Scoreboard. The VEB unanimously agreed that the proposed scoreboard was acceptable. 5. Approval of Minutes –There were no comments to the draft Minutes dated May 12, 2026.
