On motion of TRUSTEE ---, seconded by TRUSTEE ----, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York with a - vote. Resolution #182-2023 WHEREAS, patrol vehicles from the Croton-on-Hudson Police Department have been involved in two separate accidents this summer; and WHEREAS, the Village’s insurance company has determined that both vehicles are a total loss and cannot be repaired; and WHEREAS, the police department must maintain a minimum number of patrol vehicles for operational reasons; and WHEREAS, Chief of Police John Nikitopoulos has requested funding in the amount of $116,000 to purchase and outfit two new patrol vehicles; and WHEREAS, these vehicles will be purchased on state contract; and WHEREAS, the Village’s insurance company will be providing a loss payment to cover some of the total cost listed above; and WHEREAS funding for this expense was not included in the 2023-2024 General Fund budget, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Board hereby authorizes the Village Treasurer to transfer $116,000 from Contingency Account A1990.4000 to the following account: A3120.2010 – Police Department – Vehicles: $116,000 Dated: August 14, 2023
