From: John Munson Sent: Wednesday, August 9, 2023 2:34 PM To: Bryan Healy <bhealy@crotononhudson-ny.gov> Subject: Boat Issue Good afternoon. We have run into an unexpected problem. Our Marine 32 - a 2013 inflatable boat we received from FEMA funds after Hurricane Irene - will no longer hold air. We sent it out for repairs several months ago, but they are not working. In conversation with the manufacturer, the boat is also no longer under warranty and should be replaced. We found a replacement boat - no motor or trailer as those are still perfectly fine - which can be shipped to us in as little as two weeks. As you know, we have no Fire Boat currently as the new Marine 12 is built - up to 2+ years away. This replacement unit will cost around $6,500 - which we did not budget for thinking it was going to last for us for a few more years. I am requesting the village assist us in making an emergency purchase of this replacement unit so we have a boat for rescue incidents in both the Croton and Hudson Rivers. I appreciate your consideration in this matter.
