On motion of TRUSTEE____________, seconded by TRUSTEE _______, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on- Hudson, New York: WHEREAS, the Village has begun several steps to prepare for the replacement of water mains and other water infrastructure improvements within the Village; and WHEREAS the Wolf Road-Cook Lane area of the Village has been designated as one of the priority areas for water main improvements; and WHEREAS, the Village sent out request for proposals for engineering design services for the Wolf Road-Cook Lane water main replacement and extension project and received 9 proposals; and WHEREAS, Village Staff has reviewed all the proposals in detail and are in agreement that the engineering design services should be awarded to the Chazen Companies of Poughkeepsie, NY in the amount of $22,000 (which includes an estimate of $1,400 for reimbursable expenses); and WHEREAS, the original proposal was for $19,800 and the Village requested that Chazen revise their proposal to reflect the option of performing the work in phases; and WHEREAS, this amount includes engineering design, Westchester County Health Department approval, New York State Department of Transportation approval, preparation of final bid plans and specifications, and bid assistance; and WHEREAS, this amount does not include the cost for any geotechnical work that may be required as well as the cost for any construction assistance that may be required NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the Chazen Companies of Poughkeepsie, NY in the amount of $22,000 for the Wolf Road-Cook Lane Water Main Replacement and Extension Project, AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that this amount should be charged to capital account # H8340.2106.09178.
