Building Inspector/Assessor Joseph Sperber Fire Inspector Peter Anfiteatro MEMORANDUM Date: September 1, 2011 To: Abe Zambrano From: Daniel O’Connor Subject: Extension of Sidewalk and Curb Improvement Program Contract The Village entered into a contract with Paladino Concrete Creations Corp. on 6/7/10 for the Sidewalk and Curb Improvement Program. This contract expired on June 7th, 2011. The contract contained a provision where by the contract could be extended for a one year period if mutually agreeable to both parties. We have received a letter dated 6/6/11 from Paladino Concrete Creations Corp. indicating that they are agreeable to extend the contract for an additional year. I have spoken to Joseph Sperber and we are both in agreement that Paladino Concrete Creations Corp. has performed satisfactory work under the contract and recommend that the Village also agree to extend the contract for an additional year. All work will be preformed at the unit prices in the contract. Please place this on the next Village Board agenda for the Village Board to agree to extend the contract for an additional year and authorize the Village Manager to sign the agreement covering the additional year. We will request updated insurance documentation prior to the Village Manager signing the contract. If any additional information is needed please let me know. Enc. cc: Janine King, w/enc.
