Dear Mr. Zambrano ,
Big Brothers Big Sisters is reaching out to the community for help with our fundraising efforts in the way
of collecting gently used clothing and other items. Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nonͲprofit organization,
and all profits go directly to the mentoring program of Westchester County, NY.
We are looking for town property to place our clothing donation bins. We have had other towns allow us
to place clothing bins at their: transfer stations, recycling centers, park and ride parking areas, and train
station parking lots. Please note, at the parking lots we have found grassy areas that work well, which
avoids taking up a parking space. These locations would give the town residents a convenient place to
recycle their clothing as well as support our efforts in mentoring children of CrotonͲonͲHudson and
Westchester County.
I have attached a proposal for the clothing bins, which will address who we are, what we do, and how
these bins can benefit the town and the mentoring of local children. We take our responsibility of
keeping the bins clean and neat VERY seriously! We tend to our bins once a week; emptying the bins and
cleaning the surrounding area.
I would also like to know what your regulations are as far as clothing donation bins placed on
commercial property in CrotonͲonͲHudson, with the landlord’s approval.
I look forward to speaking to you regarding this opportunity, and we appreciate your time and
consideration.
Sincerely yours,
Caroline Pavlenyi
